Project
Tommy Hilfiger Stairs
This floating staircase was 3D modelled for fabrication by Feature Walters in 2008. The original concept was designed by Callison Architects for 5th Avenue in New York. Soft LED lights illuminate the exotic wooden treads. The original design intent was difficult to attain working with complex swept surfaces and site constraints such as finish floor level variances. With attention to detail, the team was able to integrate the visible moulded components around the stair structure to create a seamless appearance that was true to the Architects vision.
