Air Canada Centre
If you are a sports fan, there is a good chance you've seen our work! In 2015, we took on a project designing the center hung super structure in the Scotiabank Arena (formerly Air Canada Centre). Hanging 28 feet above the ground, this 32 feet high and 50 feet wide, weighs 72,500 pounds. A structure this large has many considerations; transportation, sectioning, hoisting and locating of components for accurate welding clearances. All without compromise or strength and longevity. Since this is structure that will be looked at by thousands on a yearly basis concealing what we could such as hoists and HSS was always taken into account to ensure both function and form.
